Professional Experience

Tanay Kumar Mukhopadhyay, Retd. DGM of SBI possesses 38 years commendable experience in Banking Operations, Recovery Management, Branch Administration, Foreign Exchange Business & operations, Teaching and Financial Management. He was the controller of Foreign Exchange Branches in SBI Bengal Circle for more than 3 years. He was the faculty of a sub centre of Indian Institute of Bankers and a guest faculty in SBI Staff College, Hyderabad. From 2007 to 2010, Shri Mukhopadhyay was deputed by SBI as the Chairman of a RRB which was one of the highest loss making Banks in the country, Under his dynamic leadership, the RRB turned around in 2008-09 and started making consistent profit during his entire tenure. In 2008, Shri Mukhopadhyay was chosen by NABARD as a member of Indian Delegates to Bangladesh for exposure on micro finance. In 2009, RBI nominated Shri Mukhopadhyay to study cooperative movement in Germany and Netherlands to represent the Indian team of Delegates to these countries. In 2012, SBI sent Shri Mukhopadhyay to Spain for inspecting a subsidiary unit of an Indian Company and to negotiate with International purchasers for sale of the unit,
